food for a crowd

my Grandfather is visiting this weekend from Oregon and home base for all other family who wants to see him is my house!

Tonight I'm making my most favorite bolognese sauce (click here for the recipe) with turkey instead of beef. It is so so so delicious and although we'll be eating it right away, it is also a perfect make-ahead meal! This sauce tastes even better after a day or two in the fridge and even freezes beautifully.  We'll be serving it over bowtie pasta - the nooks and crannies are perfect for collecting all the little bits of meat and vegetables - but I've also eaten it over baked potato or even just scooped up with yummy, crusty bread.
